Unlike the earlier vitreous enamel signs, the construction of this sign is very different - its much lighter and has been built up in layers. Therefore this sign probably dates 1960s-1980s.
The current signs are very similar, the notable difference being the ‘W14’ post code which is now the same size as the road name.
