This set of 3 posters were designed by La Boca Design Studio to communicate safety messages to travellers on the London transport network. La Boca is an independent design studio specialising in illustration and image-making and their work resonate the principles of the early art deco posters designers such as Austin Cooper, Horace Taylor and Edward McKight Kauffer. One industry body describes them as having "the rare, impressive ability to create designs and artwork resembling some of the better sleeves lurking in your dad’s record collection" (Agent Pekka).
Conscious of competing against advertisers for the attention of travellers, La Boca set out to with a brief to create bright, bold and simple posters with the focus on clear communication.
