An unusual depiction of Tunbridge Wells, showing it's location within the hills of the High Weald of Kent. Two people are sitting on a bench enjoying the fresh air of Tunbridge Wells Common. On the left are the Wellington Rocks, and in the right middle distance is Trinity Theatre (former church) with it's distinctive frontage.
Clodagh Hope Knox Sparrow produced many designs for the Big 4 railway companies and London Transport during the 1930s and 40s. During WWII she worked for the Norweigian High Command producing maps for raids on occupied Norway.
